The Coming Great Deception

As we come to the end of the Great Millennial Era scripture tells us a great deception will deceive the nations. The Abyss will open and release of Satan and his demons on earth. My thoughts on UFO's and the end of the Millennium.

Last week I gave you a teaching to explain that the Millennium as spoken of in Revelation 20 started with the Ascension of Jesus and the resurrection of the saints in 33 AD as spoken of in Matthew 27. But that raises an issue. What about what the same Rev. 20 chapter says happens at the end of the Millennium? That describes that the great Abyss opens and Satan and his angels are released on the earth to deceive all the nations. I will give you my explanation and interpretation.

However before reading my explanation consider the alternative from both the Dispensational Theology side as well as the other traditional pre-Millennial teachers. They all believe in a literal 1000 year reign of Christ on earth. So Jesus is literally and physically in Jerusalem. For 1000 years He has been King of all the earth. All mankind for 1000 years have had personal access to Jesus as Lord and King. And at the end of the 1000 years the whole earth is so disgusted with the Lordship and reign of Jesus and a 1000 years of up close and personal relationship with Jesus that the moment Satan is loosed on the earth all of humanity is deceived and rebels against Jesus and sides with Satan. Really? That is total nonsense!

Here is my interpretation. For thousands of years Christ has been fulfilling "I shall build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against them." The building project is the New Jerusalem, the Church the Bride the Temple, the habitation of God on earth. The time has come when the church is ready for the final unveiling of Satan and his defeat and judgment and casting into the lake of fire. The time for the "manifestations of the sons of God". Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

The glory of God is ready to be revealed in His Church at the same time that Satan and his fallen angels are ready to be cast onto the earth to be revealed for who they are. The time for battle and judgment is upon us.

And that is what the UFO phenomenon is all about at this critical time of human history. While the drama of the Charlie Kirk assassination filled the news the American congress was holding official investigations and revelations into the UFO problem.

Congress Admits: UFOs Are Real, But Who Is Behind Them?

In recent years, the U.S. government has openly acknowledged that unidentified flying objects do exist – though officially they’re called “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAP). Multiple congressional hearings have been held to probe this mystery. Military pilots and former intelligence officers have given firsthand accounts of encountering objects that defy conventional explanation. These UAP reportedly exhibit astonishing capabilities, such as extreme speeds and maneuvers “exceeding known aviation technologies” and lacking any visible means of propulsion. One Navy pilot described a “Tic Tac”-shaped craft darting rapidly with no wings or exhaust, outperforming fighter jets – evidence that whatever these UAP are, their technology far surpasses our own.

Despite the mounting testimony, U.S. officials admit they don’t know what UAPs ultimately are or who (or what) is controlling them. A 2023 NASA panel, for instance, concluded there was “no evidence that UAP have an extraterrestrial origin,” but also stressed “we don’t know what these UAP are”. In short, something real is zipping through our skies beyond our understanding. Congress members from both parties, once hesitant to touch the “crazy” topic of UFOs, now press for transparency – framing UAPs as not just about aliens, but about potential national security and even secret military programs.

The hearings have produced some bombshell claims, even if hard evidence remains elusive. In a 2023 House hearing, whistleblower David Grusch – a former Air Force intelligence officer – testified under oath that he learned of a “multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse-engineering program” hidden from Congress. He stated he’d interviewed officials with “direct knowledge” of “nonhuman” craft and recovered “biologics,” implying alien bodies. When asked in a later hearing whether the government possesses advanced technology “made off-world by non-human intelligence,” a former Pentagon official (Luis Elizondo) replied yes.. Under further questioning, he affirmed that secret crash-retrieval projects have indeed existed and that “injured” U.S. personnel have even received compensation for harm related to UAP encounters. These startling assertions – UFO crash debris, non-human pilots, and human injuries – were entered into the congressional record.

So we have a perplexing situation: officialdom concedes UAPs are real, and some credible insiders insist “they’re here, and they’re not human,”. The U.S. government, in effect, is saying: “Yes, there’s something out there – but we honestly don’t know what it is.” As one NASA official put it, the goal is to move UAP discussion from “sensationalism to science”.

What about the more sensational theories? Beyond the hearings, popular lore abounds with claims that UFOs have been here since ancient times, that they maintain secret bases underground or under the ocean, abducting and experimenting on humans. Members of Congress even asked about some of these. Likewise, while millions of people worldwide have reported frightening abduction experiences,. Still, the sheer volume of these accounts fuels speculation that whoever is behind the UFO phenomenon has not been benign. Grusch himself hinted that UAP encounters have even turned hostile at times – he testified that multiple colleagues were physically injured in the course of UAP-related activities.

After decades of secrecy and stigma, the U.S. government now admits UAPs are real and worth investigating. Are they advanced drones from a foreign adversary? Highly classified U.S. tech? Extraterrestrial visitors? Or “something else,” as one Congressman mused. This deepening mystery has led some observers to look beyond the usual possibilities – to ideas once confined to religion or fringe theory. Indeed, an intriguing perspective has gained traction among some scholars and theologians: what if these “non-human intelligences” behind UFOs have been here all along, not as aliens from another star, but as spiritual beings spoken of in ancient Scripture? Scriptures that speak of hidden places in the earth where unspeakable atrocities are being committed:
Psalm 74:20:  "Have respect unto the covenant for the secret places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty."

Fallen Angels and Demons: A Biblical Explanation for “Non-Human” UFO Pilots From a Christian evangelical standpoint, the eerie phenomena of UAPs start to look less like science fiction and more like a page out of the Bible. The Bible has long asserted that we share the universe with other intelligent beings – not aliens from distant planets, but angels and demons. Could it be that the mysterious entities baffling Congress are in fact the same fallen angels and demonic spirits warned about in Scripture?

Consider the striking parallels. In the Book of Genesis, there is a brief, enigmatic account (Genesis 6:1–4) of otherworldly beings interacting with humanity: “the sons of God” came down to earth, married human women, and fathered the Nephilim, described as giants or mighty ones. Some translations and scholars interpret “sons of God” to mean fallen angelic beings who rebelled against God. In fact, an ancient Hebrew text outside the Bible – the Book of Enoch – expands on this story, calling these beings the Watchers: it says 200 Watcher angels descended to earth, led by a proud angel named Azazel, and taught humanity illicit knowledge before things went awry. Fascinatingly, even a former Pentagon UFO investigator, Luis Elizondo, noted how “Enoch’s travels don’t sound that dissimilar to reported nonhuman encounters.” He pointed out the link between Nephilim… Watchers… angels… aliens, drawing “interesting parallels” between ancient texts and modern UFO lore. In other words, our ancestors may have encountered these beings millennia ago – and recorded those encounters in the language of gods, angels, and demons.

From a biblical worldview, angels were created by God as powerful spirit beings, often serving as messengers or agents of His will. Some of them, however, rebelled. The chief rebel, known as Lucifer or Satan, “fell from heaven” along with a cohort of followers (Revelation 12:7–9 describes a war in heaven and “the great dragon… was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him”). These fallen angels became the entities we call demons – malevolent spirits at odds with God and bent on deceiving and harming humanity. The New Testament records Jesus and His disciples repeatedly confronting demons; these wicked spirits could possess people or cause physical phenomena, and they recognized Jesus as the Son of God. Notably, the demons often knew their fate in advance. Upon meeting Jesus, they cried out, “Have you come here to torment us before the time?”(Math. 8:29) – a reference to the fact that they expect a future appointed time of judgment.

Now, bring this framework back to the UAP mystery. Reports describe non-human intelligences” operating flashy craft and even meddling with humans.. And if these entities have been interacting with mankind since antiquity (as UFO sightings and folklore worldwide suggest), that aligns with the biblical narrative of fallen angels active on Earth throughout history.
Indeed, many Christians believe that so-called “aliens” are in reality demons or fallen angels masquerading in a modern guise. As one writer put it succinctly, “The truth is that there are no aliens living on other planets. What does exist are fallen angels… and demons that can masquerade as aliens to mimic Hollywood movies.” From this perspective, the UFO phenomenon is essentially a spiritual deception – “a huge deception” in the words of another commentary – aimed at misleading people about the true nature of reality. Instead of acknowledging a biblical truth (that malevolent spiritual forces are at work), the world might be lured into believing a cosmic lie (that our “saviors” or “overlords” are advanced extraterrestrials). This interpretation casts UAPs in a whole new light: those “craft” zipping around and the entities associated with them might not be visitors from far-flung star systems at all, but rather the same demons and fallen angels that ancient faiths have always warned about – now simply rebranding themselves in a technological age.

For example, consider the troubling aspect of UFO abductions. People taken against their will, subjected to bizarre reproductive experiments, being paralyzed and terrified – it’s a scenario straight out of a demonic playbook. In the Bible, one of the grimmest accounts of demonic activity appears in Genesis 6 (the “days of Noah”), where the union of fallen angels and humans led to corruption of human bloodlines and great violence on earth. Jesus Himself said that the end of the age would be “as it was in the days of Noah” (Luke 17:26) – a hint to some that a similar demonic incursion could happen near the end of the age. Is it mere coincidence that reports of “alien” hybridization experiments began surfacing in the late 20th century? Or that abductees often describe gross violations reminiscent of demonic attacks? Evangelical researchers note that the messages alleged UFO occupants convey to their captives are frequently anti-Christian, denying core truths about Jesus Christ – a hallmark of demonic deception. And amazingly, there have been cases where abductees halted an abduction in progress by calling on the name of Jesus – the terrifying entities fled when confronted with Christ’s authority. That pattern doesn’t fit aliens from Zeta Reticuli, but it does fit the behavior of evil spirits in biblical accounts (“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you,” James 4:7).

In sum, viewing UFOs through a biblical lens leads to a provocative thesis: the UFO/UAP phenomenon is not extraterrestrial at all, but interdimensional – manifestations of demonic and fallen-angel activity. These beings aren’t from a distant galaxy; they’re part of our world’s unseen spiritual hierarchy, occasionally breaking into visible form. This theory neatly accounts for several perplexing aspects: the tricksterish nature of many UFO encounters (entities that mislead and play games with perception), the anti-biblical messaging, and the way the phenomena can be tangible (leaving physical traces) yet also elusive (vanishing like a spirit). Even some secular UFO researchers, like the esteemed Dr. Jacques Vallée, have noted the paranormal characteristics of UFO encounters and speculated an “interdimensional” cause rather than simple space aliens. In Christian terms, interdimensional is just a modern word for the spiritual realm.

If Congress is scratching its head wondering “Who are these non-human intelligences piloting these craft?”, the answer from a Christian scholar might be: They are the fallen angels and demons of old. They were cast down from heaven and have been here on Earth, behind the scenes of history. In times past they were worshiped as pagan gods or feared as monsters; today they hide behind a veneer of extraterrestrial origin. But their motives remain what they ever were: to deceive, harm, and draw people away from the truth of God. As we’ll see next, this interpretation also provides insight into why these beings use technology at all – and what their ultimate fate will be.

Short on Time and Power: Why Demonic Beings Rely on UFO Technology A curious question arises: if these UFO pilots are actually fallen angels or demons – spiritual beings with supernatural powers – why do they need futuristic craft to fly around? Couldn’t an angelic being simply appear and disappear at will? The Bible suggests angels can certainly travel and manifest without any spaceship (for instance, the angel Gabriel appears to Mary with no vehicle required). So why would a demon bother with something as mundane as a metal craft, however advanced?

I proposed a fascinating answer: these fallen beings have lost much of their former glory and power. Having rebelled and been cast down, they are now in a state where they are “bound” or limited in ways holy angels are not. Remember, the Bible teaches that many fallen angels were judged by God and “restrained in chains” (Jude 1:6) – a figurative way of saying their freedom and abilities were curtailed. They were expelled from heaven’s heights to operate on the earthly plane, and some even believe that means they became partially corporeal (physical) or at least stuck in our material realm. In other words, these once purely spiritual beings might now find it necessary to use technological means to achieve their goals, much as humans do.

There is scriptural basis for the idea that fallen angels can be degraded to a mortal-like state. Psalm 82, a provocative Psalm, depicts God chastising a group of heavenly beings (the “gods” or sons of the Most High – understood by many scholars as divine beings or angelic rulers). To these corrupt celestial beings God says: “I said, ‘You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.’” This is a stunning verdict – you were godlike, but you will die like mortals. It implies a loss of immortality, a fate of weakness and doom hanging over these beings. No longer can they count on an endless timeline or invincible existence; they know their time is running out. This aligns with what demons in the New Testament seemed to fear – they know a time” is set for their punishment, and it’s drawing nearer. The Book of Revelation (12:12) even says the devil is filled with fury “because he knows that his time is short.”

Thus, if these UFO-associated beings are fallen angels, they’re not cruising around the universe carefree – they’re desperate and on a clock. And significantly, if God has ordained “you shall die like men,” it suggests they can be killed or neutralized; they are not all-powerful. They may well have had to adapt, using material means to navigate the material world since their spiritual privileges were stripped away

Think of it this way – an angel of God can appear in an instant. But a fallen angel, under judgment, might actually have to get from point A to B the hard way. For beings of superhuman intellect, the “hard way” could involve exploiting the laws of physics with far greater mastery than any human engineer. The result: UFOs with gravity-defying propulsion, incredible acceleration, and the ability to veil themselves from normal detection. It’s high tech, yes, but perhaps it’s high tech born of necessity for these grounded spirits. Some Christians speculate that the classic small “Gray” aliens are not the originators of the tech at all, but rather biological drones or constructs – essentially avatars or bodies that demonic spirits use to operate in our physical environment. One ministry conjectures that Satan (the chief of demons) “cannot create life, but maybe he can conjure up these tiny little sickly, green [Gray] bodies for demons to inhabit”. In that scenario, the UFO craft and even the alien-looking occupants are just props – vehicles and suits worn by demonic intelligences.

While this may sound far-fetched, it intriguingly accounts for reports that UFO occupants seem strangely “biological” yet emotionless, or that they behave as if controlled by a hive mind. It would also explain why they crash at times (as has been alleged): a truly divine being wouldn’t crash a spaceship due to weather or error, but a jury-rigged physical craft operated by a fallen being might well suffer mishaps. (In fact, one skeptical Congressman at the UAP hearing quipped that it’s “farfetched” to think aliens crossed the galaxy only to crash on Earth – but if these are no aliens at all, the pattern of crashes could make more sense.)

Knowing their time is short, these demonic forces could be stepping up their activities, and doing so in a more tangible, visible way than before. In ages past, they appeared as mythological creatures or phantom spirits; today they appear as sci-fi “space visitors” – perhaps because that is a deception more palatable to the modern mind. Think of all the "John the Baptist" type of "preparing the way for the space saviors" in all the Star Trek and space mighty heroes movies and shows!
From a Christian perspective, this demonic masquerade is one huge bluff. It showcases impressive technology to cow humanity – lying wonders designed to inspire awe and fear. But behind the curtain, it’s the same age-old satanic crew, now having to use gadgets and genetics to push their agenda. The arrogance of these fallen angels persists (they once aspired to be gods; now they wouldn’t mind being taken as “aliens” with godlike powers by an unsuspecting public), yet their posture belies panic. They know what the Bible says about their fate: they “shall die like men”. The clock is ticking, and so they furiously attempt to work out new schemes – from spawning hybrid creatures to deceiving nations with false narratives – in a doomed bid to escape judgment.

Thus, the spectacle of UFOs might be understood as a kind of last-ditch effort by demonic forces operating under constraints. It’s as if they’re saying, “We lost our place in heaven; we must make do on Earth. Let’s use our knowledge to build flying machines, appear as ‘advanced aliens,’ confuse and frighten these humans, maybe even promise them salvation through technology – anything to keep them from turning to God.” But the very need for flying machines and clandestine abductions shows their inherent weakness. They travel in shadows, crash in deserts, skulk under oceans or in hidden bases, precisely because they cannot simply dominate outright. Their power is limited, and growing more so with each passing day.

Defeating Deception and Looking to a New World

If the current UFO mania is truly the work of deceptive spiritual powers, then we may be witnessing what the Bible describes as a final swell of demonic activity before the ultimate resolution of history. Christian eschatology (the study of the end-times) tells of a coming climax when evil is fully exposed and defeated. Intriguingly, the Bible depicts a scenario where, at the end of a long era of God’s kingdom growing on earth, Satan is released for a short time to deceive the nations once more – only to be utterly vanquished in the end (Revelation 20:1–10).I believe we are near that moment right now.

On this view, the past ~2,000 years since Christ’s resurrection can be seen as the Millennium figuratively – a prolonged age where Satan’s influence was partially restrained (the “binding” of Satan in Revelation 20:2) so the Gospel could spread to all nations. Now, as that era draws to a close, God is allowing the devil and his hordes a short leash to manifest and mislead as a final test and prelude to judgment. The sudden explosion of global interest in UAPs, the distress and confusion they’re causing, and the boldness of these phenomena coming to light could be signs that this prophetic time is unfolding. As one end-times watcher noted, the whole UFO/UAP narrative bears the marks of “a major end-time deception” aimed at capturing the world’s imagination. In 2 Thessalonians 2:9–11, the Apostle Paul forewarns that in the last days, there will be all power, signs, and lying wonders and a strong delusion so that many believe what is false. A delusion involving staged “alien” revelations fits that bill remarkably. It could convince people that our true creators or saviors are extraterrestrials – thereby undermining faith in the true God. What could be more of a “strong delusion” than convincing the modern world that the Bible’s spiritual adversaries are actually benevolent space brothers?

Yet, the Christian response to this deceptive onslaught is not one of fear, but of confidence and authority. The same Congress that hears about inexplicable UAPs also heard a reassuring truth from one of the hearing’s witnesses: when dealing with these phenomena, we are not powerless. One expert testified that if you do encounter what he termed an “inter-dimensional demonic being,” you have authority to cast it away – “you are equipped with the highest power… to cast it away, far away!”. This directly reflects the Bible’s promise that through Jesus, believers can drive out demons in His name (Mark 16:17) and “overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21). Indeed, Jesus gave all His followers, even the “little flock,” authority “over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10:19). In practice, this means that no matter how spooky or invulnerable these UFO beings may appear, they are subject to the name of Jesus. Christians around the world have shared accounts of demonic encounters – and consistently, invoking Christ’s authority ends the encounter. The same power that made demons tremble in the Gospels is available to the Church today.

Therefore, if UFOs truly are demons in disguise, the Church’s mission may include exposing and expelling this deception. One can imagine a future not too far off where the supposed “alien visitors” perform great signs to bolster their lies – perhaps offering high-tech solutions, even false miracles, to be hailed as saviors. But the people of God, filled with the Holy Spirit (sometimes described as the very “breath” and “fire” of God), will see through it. The Bible says Christ will destroy the ultimate deceiver with “the breath of His mouth” (2 Thessalonians 2:8); intriguingly, that “breath” could be understood as the Holy Spirit working through the mouths of Christ’s body – His Church. In other words, truth spoken by believers, under the anointing of God’s Spirit, will be a flame that consumes the lies. Just as Elijah’s fire exposed the false gods of his day, the modern prophets and prayer warriors may call down God’s fire (figuratively speaking) to consume the alien façade and reveal the demonic core.

Ultimately, according to Scripture, the finale is already written: evil will not prevail. Revelation 20:10 declares that the devil and his forces will be decisively defeated and thrown into the lake of fire – a poetic image of complete removal from creation. Isaiah 14:12–17 paints a picture of the once-proud Lucifer brought down to the pit, with onlookers gawking and saying, “Is this the one who made the nations tremble?” – astonished that such a pitiful being had caused so much trouble. One day, humanity will similarly marvel at how the mighty UFO pretenders were nothing before the power of God. The deception will be unmasked, and those who clung to the truth in Christ will rejoice.

What follows that triumph is nothing less than a new beginning. With the demonic hosts judged and removed, the path is clear for the fulfillment of God’s ultimate promise: “a new heaven and a new earth” (Revelation 21:1). In this renewed world, righteousness dwells and God’s presence is direct – no more veils, no more deceit. The long saga of spiritual war will be over, as will the need for faith to contend with mysterious threats. No more abductions in the night, no more terrifying lights in the sky – the only lights will be those of the Church as the New Jerusalem, and the only beings visiting Earth will be holy angels and the Lord Himself dwelling in His people.

In conclusion, the current acknowledgement by government that “UFOs exist but we don’t know what they are” is, from a Christian scholar’s perspective, both an opportunity and a warning. It’s an opportunity to present an alternate explanation – that these phenomena fit the ancient biblical narrative of demonic mischief and cosmic spiritual battle. And it’s a warning that we may be entering a phase of history where that battle becomes more overt, with deception on a grand scale. But Christians need not fear. We have been forewarned of “false wonders” and empowered to stand firm. Our task is to remain sober and vigilant, grounded in Scripture, testing every spirit (1 John 4:1) – even those that come in flying saucers.

The U.S. Congress may continue to seek answers in secret chambers and with scientific tools, and that has its place. But the ultimate truth behind the UFO mystery might not be found under a microscope or in a classified dossier – it may be found in the pages of the Bible and in the spiritual discernment of the faithful.

Governments are secretly trying to develop weapons and technology to fight this alien evil. They do not know how.  That is why they cannot openly acknowledge their interactions with aliens - how can they tell people "These beings are evil and we don't know how to control them" The world will soon know there is only one power that can defeat this evil.

As we watch these revelations unfold, we recall the Apostle Paul’s words: “We are not ignorant of Satan’s schemes” (2 Corinthians 2:11). The Church should prepare to respond to whatever narrative emerges about “ET life” with wisdom and courage, offering the world a bigger picture that includes both the seen and the unseen. In the end, the light of Christ will outshine the glow of every UFO, and the only invasion that will matter is the Kingdom of God fully coming to earth. When that day comes, the question of “aliens” will be resolved once and for all – not by congressional hearings, but by the King of Kings, under whose reign “every knee will bow,” whether human, angel, or demon.
